Personal note from the designer:
Elza's Pegasus is a knot that I had in my mind from the beginning when I started with Paracord but did not yet have the skills to make it on the board. After some time I had developed the necessary skills and so the knot I had been thinking about for so long could finally come to life on my knot board.
Marjolein Maenen is the creator of the name when I showed the knot for my Autumn collection and she has a wonderful explanation for it: "The Pegasus (constellation) you see in autumn in the South, so related to autumn-collection, South (Zuidema) and star (Starpets). And of course it is a beautiful mythical (magical) winged creature.
Important:
The most important thing with this knot is to keep the threads in place, especially the edge threads. By bringing your core thread up after you have crossed them you keep the edge threads nicely in place. When pulling on the threads, work from the middle up, so that the middle part is in place before you start on the edge. After you have pulled everything tight and are ready for the next knot, your core threads should be at the back and your edge threads in front.
Make sure you tighten the T1 firmly otherwise you risk shifting it.
